Admission Process

    • The College issues Prospectus separately for Aided courses and Unaided courses every academic year.

    • The Prospectus contains rules and regulations as laid down by the State Government and the affiliating University.

    • At the initial level each application form is assigned a serial number and is registered in the computer along with the OMR sheet.

    • A list of eligible students is prepared and a Single Window System is followed for the selection of the students.

    • An exhaustive rank list of the applicants is prepared and admission is made purely on merit basis, subject to the rules of reservation of the Government of Tamilnadu i.e., 31 percentage for Open Competition (OC); 30 percentage for Backward Classes (BC); 20 percentage for Most Backward Classes (MBC) and Denotified Communities (DNC); 18 percentage for Scheduled Castes (SC); and   1 percentage for Scheduled Tribes (ST).

    • In all under graduate courses, 50 percent of the seats are reserved for women candidates.

    • For outstanding sports persons who have represented at the District/Divisional level and above, 3 per cent of the seats in UG courses and 2 per cent of the seats in PG courses are allotted.

    • At the time of admission due consideration is given to the students with excellent sports records.

    • For MCA course, the admission for all seats is done through the counseling conducted by the Government of Tamilnadu and based on the marks obtained in TANCET.
